Supported Backup Software

BackupMonitor includes built-in parsers for 50+ backup products. Forward status emails to your inbound address — detection and parsing happen automatically, with no configuration on your side.

How detection works

Each supported product sends status emails in a known format. When an email arrives, BackupMonitor identifies the backup software from the subject, sender, or body content and extracts the device name, job name, status, and timestamp.

The detected type appears as a badge on each job in the dashboard. You can also filter backup types in and out of the dashboard view if needed.

Missing your software?

If your backup tool is not listed, you have a few options:

  • Forward a sample status email anyway — if the format is similar to a supported product, it may already work
  • Enable AI Email Classification in Settings for unrecognized emails
  • Check Processing Errors if emails arrive but are not parsed
  • Use the Ingest API to push results from custom scripts
  • Write us at office@backupmonitor.at — we add new parsers regularly
